PRESEASON (NOVEMBER 10-DECEMBER 20)
WEEK 1 (NOV 10-15) -This Monday and Tuesday are school
holidays. We will be running practice
at College Park on these two days in the morning (8am-11am). For the remainder of the week we will
be practicing at Valley View and will begin at -Hygeine-Wrestlers should be
showering with soap and water immediately after practice each day. Cloting used in practice should go directly
in the wash when they get home. -$100 FEE-This year for $100 you will receive
sweats, shorts, a shirt, and backpack, as well as cover your
transportation. You can still get
yours now. -The College Park
Wrestling team has built a tradition of success, winning more League
Championships than any other team on campus, and would like to welcome anyone
willing to put in the time and hard work to join our program. I am looking forward to a great season and
working with all of our dedicated student/athletes, rookies and veterans. WEEK 2 (NOV 17-22) -This
week practice will proceed at the normal time for
everyone at VVMS. We will conduct a 1
hour extended practice for returners only with Leroy Monday-Friday this
week. The practices will begin
immediately following the VVMS practice at College Park. -Weight
Certification will be conducted this Thursday Nov.
20 at VVMS during practice for those who did not certify during
weights class in October (Wednesday, October 15 alpha day #1). We will send paperwork home concerning this
process or you can visit www.nwcaonline.com
for more information. Wrestlers must
bring $10 to cover certification. All
wrestlers must certify before they can compete. *We will be placing a second order for the College Park
Wrestling sweats and warm-ups. If you
are interested in getting the team
apparel fill out the form ASAP. We
still have many of the purple fan shirts and will not be reordering
those. WEEK 3 (NOV 24-29)-THANKSGIVING BREAK -This week is
Thanksgiving Break but we will still have practice. Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday we will be having practice for everyone from WEEK 4 (DEC 1-6) -This
is a very busy week. On Monday we will
have a short practice at Valley View immediately after school. We will set our first weight class ladders
with challenges. All wrestlers will be
paired up with an opponent for the intersquad match. The finals matches for the #1 Varsity spot
will take place on the center mat at the intersquad. All wrestlers who
have not received gear should get gear after practice in the mat room. -Intersquad/Parent Meeting-(Tueasday,
Dec. 2) All wrestlers will need to report to the mat room at *NOTE-Starting this week we will be conducting
split Var/JV practices based on the results of the intersquad matches. -Scrimmage at
Freedom HS-(Wednesday,Dec. 3) Freedom
HS(1050 NEROLY RD, OAKLEY 94561)
We will be having our annual scrimmage with Freedom, Granada, and
Vallejo at Freedo HS. All wrestlers
will have the opportunity to wrestle several scrimmage matches against opponents
from other schools. We will depart
College Park by bus at -Varsity at
Vacaville Duals-(Fri-Sat, Dec. 5-6) Vacaville
HS (W MONTE VISTA AVE VACAVILLE 95688)
This is our first varsity competition of the season. We will be departing from CP on Friday at
10am. Friday weigh-ins will be at noon
and wrestling will start at 2:00pm. We
will need drivers for this two day event. -JV at Vallejo-(Saturday, Dec. 6) Vallejo
HS (840 NEBRASKA ST, VALLEJO 94590)
All non-varsity wrestlers will get to compete in pooled weight classes
in Frosh-Soph or JV division. Our bus
will depart CP at WEEK 5 (DEC 8-13) -DVAL Novice at CP-(Friday, Dec.
12) We will be hosting our DVAL Novice
tournament in the College Park gym.
All novice wrestlers will weigh-in on Thursday after practice for this
pooled weight tournament. On Friday
all JV/novice wrestlers will report to the mat room after school for practice
and tournament prep. Novice wrestling
will begin at -Larry Lasater Memorial Duals at CP-(Saturday,
Dec. 13) We will be hosting our 4th
annual Lasater Duals in the College Park gym.
All wrestlers will need to report to CP at **ATTENTION
PARENTS-WE WILL BE REQUIRING PARENT HELP AT THESE HOSTED EVENTS. EXPECT A CALL FROM OUR WEEK 6 (DEC 15-20) -JV at Deer Valley Duals-(Saturday,
Dec. 20) Deer

We will be leaving early on Saturday morning for 7:00am
weigh-ins. Wrestling will begin at
9:00am and continue until we have wrestled 5 duals. |

WINTER
BREAK (DECEMBER 22-JANUARY 3)
WEEK 7 (DEC 22-27) This is the first week of winter break. We will be conducting practice for everyone
on Monday Dec. 22 in the College Park small gym. Monday evening we will need to meet to set
up for our Hosted JV 5 Match. -Clyde Forrest 5 Match-(Tuesday,
Dec. 23) We will be hosting this JV event in the College Park Gym. Weigh-ins begin at **ATTENTION

evening. Groom check begins at There will be a Varsity only practice either Dec. 31 in the
morning or Jan. 1 in the afternoon.
This will be determined by when we arrive home from the Reno
